Michael King To Make Another Start Sunday
1 year agoNew York Yankees right-hander Michael King is lined up to make another start for the Yankees this Sunday against the Houston Astros on the road. King has earned another start for the Bombers after pitching four scoreless innings while striking out five during a 61-pitch outing against the Detroit Tigers on Tuesday. The 28-year-old has been excellent in his fifth year in the Bronx, as he's sporting a sharp 2.96 ERA (3.36 FIP), 1.15 WHIP, six saves, 25 walks and a career-high 87 strikeouts in 73 innings over 43 appearances (three starts). In his three starts, he's given up just three runs (two earned) while striking out 11 in 8 2/3 innings. King could go a bit deeper in his fourth start this Sunday, but the matchup is a much scarier one against the 'Stros.
