Michael King Fails To Get Through Five Innings
3 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Michael King didn't factor into the decision in Wednesday's win over the Kansas City Royals. King pitched 4 2/3 innings, allowing two runs on three hits while issuing five walks. He struck out five batters and generated 10 whiffs on 72 pitches. The 72 pitches were the most he's hurled in a game this season, though he continues to struggle in the fifth inning of starts, as he ultimately loaded the bases in the frame before ceding the duties to Chad Green. King has been solid overall, but his inability to get to the fifth inning, something he's done once in five starts, leaves him off the fantasy radar altogether.
