Michael King Earns Five-Out Save Tuesday
2 years agoNew York Yankees relief pitcher Michael King certainly earned his second save of the season in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Guardians. King entered the game in the top of the eighth inning up by one with one out and a runner on first. He quickly ended the half with two strikeouts and stayed in to pitch the ninth. He got the first two outs on a strikeout and groundout, allowed a walk, and got the final out on a groundout. The 27-year-old has pitched quite well this season, compiling a 1.56 ERA with a 10.38 K/9 rate. Clay Holmes has been inconsistent as the team's primary closer and had another meltdown in Monday's loss, so fantasy managers should keep an eye on King.
