Michael Kim Looks To Keep Momentum Going At Mexican Open
2 days agoMichael Kim has been on fire the last two weeks, recording finishes of T2 at the Phoenix Open and T13 at the Genesis Invitational. He now looks ahead to the Mexican Open, an event he has played in twice, with finishes of T30 and a missed cut. This course, like Torrey Pines, will require distance off the tee and the ability to hit long irons into the green, as 63.5% of all approach shots came from over 175 yards last year. Kim excels in this area, ranking 40th in proximity from 175-200 yards and in the 91st percentile over the past 12 months from 200-plus yards. Kim is also ranked 19th in strokes gained from tee to green, and his driving distance of 306.3 yards is slightly above average for the course, further enhancing his strengths off the tee. His price tag of $9,200 on DraftKings is likely one of the highest we will see for him this season, so fantasy managers will need to weigh their options at this range before inserting Kim into their lineups.
