Michael Hutchinson Makes First Start Of The Season
3 years agoToronto Maple Leafs goaltender Michael Hutchinson will earn his first start of the season in Friday's matchup versus San Jose. The 31-year-old will aim to carry last year's good form into the new campaign. He went 4-2-1 in 2020-21 with a 2.42 goals-against average and a .919 save percentage. Toronto is heavily favored by the bookmakers, but Hutchinson runs into a hot team, with San Jose going 3-0-0 so far, and a victory is definitely not guaranteed. It's a start of a back-to-back set for the Maple Leafs and Jack Campbell is already the confirmed starter for Saturday's trip to Pittsburgh.
