Michael Harris II Has Grand Return From Injured List
3 months agoAtlanta Braves outfielder Michael Harris II wasted no time in making his presence felt in the lineup when he came off the injured list on Wednesday, blasting a 423-foot grand slam in the first inning of Wednesday's 13-2 win over the Giants on the second pitch he saw, sending it splashing into McCovey Cove. The 23-year-old added another RBI later, although the home run was his lone hit of the game, finishing the day 1-for-5 with five RBI and a run scored. The former Rookie of the Year began the year hot, slashing .304/.339/.452 with five stolen bases over the first month, but went ice-cold before hitting the IL in mid-June. However, Harris was swinging a hot bat on his rehab assignment, plus he's a career .333 hitter in August and .298 in September, albeit a small sample size, so look for him to finish strong.
