6 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Michael Fulmer, who has taken a step back from throwing in games, is shedding his knee brace while he throws on the side because it has been too restrictive. Instead, he threw on Friday with only a compression sleeve on his knee. “It felt great,” Fulmer said. “I felt a lot more range of motion, being able to kind of sink down with my legs and actually push off going toward home plate.” The right-hander is focusing on getting the leg push back in his delivery before he worries about velocity again. Fulmer has no timetable for when he'll pitch in a game again, and he's willing to push his regular season debut back if need be. Fulmer had offseason knee surgery and doesn't seem to be quite right yet.
