Michael Fulmer Blows Save Opportunity On Sunday
3 years agoDetroit Tigers relief pitcher Michael Fulmer suffered his first blown save of the year on Sunday against the Kansas City Royals. Fulmer came on in the ninth inning of a 2-1 game and went on to give up a two-run walk-off home run to Carlos Santana. In addition to the blown save, he was tagged with his third loss of the year. Fulmer had converted each of his previous four save opportunities, each of which came this month. One blown save likely won't change things too drastically for Fulmer, but Gregory Soto could sneak his way back into save opportunities if Fulmer stumbles again.
