Michael Del Zotto Announces Retirement
1 year agoDefenseman Michael Del Zotto has announced his retirement from the NHL. The 33-year-old last played in the league in 2021-22 when he made 26 appearances for the Ottawa Senators. Del Zotto is best known for his time with the New York Rangers, who selected him 20th in the 2008 NHL Draft. 121 of his 262 career points came in 292 games with the Rangers. In total, the Canadian blue-liner played for eight organizations and made 736 regular-season appearances. He became a Stanley Cup champion with the St. Louis Blues in 2019.
