Michael Conforto Placed On Injured List
4 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Michael Conforto (hamstring) was placed on the injured list on Thursday due to hamstring tightness. This move ends the season for Conforto. He had been sidelined since Sunday but returned to the Mets' lineup on Wednesday as the designated hitter. It appears Conforto re-injured his hamstring prompting the Mets to make this move ahead of Thursday's game against the Nationals. Conforto had a breakout 2020 season and essentially played his way into Top-50 draft consideration for the 2021 season. He finishes 2020 with a .322/.412/.515 line with nine home runs, 31 RBI, a .927 OPS, and a 2.0 WAR, to the delight of those managers who drafted him as a third outfielder heading into 2020.
