2 years agoSan Francisco Giants outfielder Michael Conforto (calf) went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Miami Marlins. After missing the last two games due to calf tightness, he pinch-hit for Darin Ruf in the eighth inning. The 30-year-old blasted a two-run shot off Miami Marlins pitcher David Smeltzer to give the Giants a 3-1 lead. He filled in as the team's designated hitter, and it's still being determined when he will return to right field to play defense. Conforto is slashing .233/.377/.512 with four homers, eight RBI, 10 runs, and a stolen base over 14 games in 2023. Fantasy managers should check back Thursday to see if Conforto returns to the lineup before starting him in their leagues.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
