Michael Chavis Exits On Saturday With Elbow Discomfort
3 years agoPittsburgh Pirates second baseman Michael Chavis (elbow) was removed from Saturday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals due to right elbow discomfort. He went 0-for-1 in the game before he was replaced by Cole Tucker, who went on to go 0-for-1 with two walks. We don't know anything about the severity of Chavis's injury at this point, but he will be reevaluated on Sunday, at which point we'll know more. Chavis has only been with the Pirates for about a week and he's been a productive hitter for the team so far. He's slashed .364/.364/.591 with one home run and two doubles over his first six games with the team.
