Michael Brantley "Progressing Slowly" From Knee Injury
3 years agoHouston Astros outfielder Michael Brantley (knee) is progressing slowly in his attempt to return from a knee injury. "He's progressing slowly," said manager Dusty Baker. "He was progressing rapidly, but he's kind of hit a lull in the action. So it's going to take a little bit longer than we thought or we had hoped." The 34-year-old has been sidelined since September 12 with a knee issue and remains day-to-day. Brantley is eligible to come off the injured list, but it's unclear exactly when he will be ready to return. Fantasy managers can continue to stash the Astros outfielder but should look for alternatives with the season about to end in a few weeks.
