Michael Bennett Indicted on a Felony Charge
7 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles defensive lineman Michael Bennett has been indicted on a felony charge for injuring someone at Super Bowl 51. Bennett was at the Super Bowl as a fan to watch his brother play, and allegedly pushed his way onto the field, shoving a 66-year-old paraplegic employee of Houston's NRG Stadium. Bennett is facing a possible penalty of 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine. The Eagles released a statement saying they are "aware of the situation involving Michael Bennett and are in the process of gathering more information. Because this is an ongoing legal matter, we will have no further comment at this time.”
