The New York Mets have signed international free agent Vladi Miguel Guerrero on Monday. The 16-year-old outfielder is the son of Hall of Famer Vladimir Guerrero Sr. and the brother of current Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Monday is the start of the international signing period, one that will run through Dec. 15, 2024. Guerrero's signing was one of a long list of international signings on Monday but he is no doubt one of the more high-profile names considering his family ties. It was reported earlier in the offseason the Mets planned to sign Guerrero for around $120K while they have $5.925 million in their international bonus pool this year.--Brenton Kemp
