Mets Sign Brian Dozier To Minor League Deal
4 years agoThe New York Mets signed second baseman Brian Dozier to a minor league deal on Wednesday. After he was not added to the Padres' 60-man player pool in early July, Dozier elected free agency. The Mets' player pool now currently sits at 57 players, including Dozier. He was an All-Star with the Twins in 2015 when he hit .236 with 28 home runs and 12 steals. At this point in his career, even if Dozier makes the Mets roster later in the season, he will simply serve as reserve infield depth in the event of an injury. Dozier, 33, can be ignored in all fantasy formats.
