2 years agoJon Heyman reported in the NY Post Monday that the New York Mets have promoted Eric Chavez to bench coach from hitting coach and Jeremy Barnes to hitting coach. The Mets had a strong coaching staff all around, leading to one of baseball's best offenses in 2022. The staff is led by manager Buck Showalter, who just won his fourth Manager of the Year award. While the Mets have a number of spots to fill from a pitching perspective, they will have most of their lineup returning for the 2023 season.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
