Mets Name Starting Pitchers For First Two Series Of 2021
4 years agoThe New York Mets have set their rotation for the first two series of the season, according to Anthony DiComo of MLB.com. In the first series of the year, the Mets will start Jacob deGrom, Marcus Stroman and David Peterson against the Nationals, followed by Taijuan Walker, deGrom and then Joey Lucchesi pitching behind an opener against the Phillies. deGrom will be pitching on a normal five-day schedule as the Mets have an off day on April 2. The Nationals and Phillies had two of the better offenses in the majors last year, making it a tough start to the season for New York. deGrom is a must start in both of his games, Stroman should be started as well, and Walker and Lucchesi make some interesting streaming options in most formats.
