4 years agoNew York Mets pitcher Seth Lugo may move into the starting rotation with the Mets struggling to fill the holes in their rotation. An extremely effective relief pitcher, Lugo has been considerably less effective as a starting pitcher over his MLB career. Lugo’s ERA rises from 2.53 as a reliever to 4.06 as a starter (31 starts) for his career, and his K:BB drops nearly 1.5 full points to 3.07 as a starter. Manager Luis Rojas was non-committal when discussing Lugo’s potential move on Tuesday so it’s far from a given, but considering that Lugo has become a mainstay in a struggling Met bullpen a move to the rotation probably hurts his rest of season fantasy value.--Sam Chinitz
