6 years agoThe New York Mets continue to discuss a trade for Miami Marlins All-Star catcher J.T. Realmuto and made contact again on Tuesday, according to sources. While the Marlins are highly unlikely to reach a contract extension with Realmuto at this point, they will request a ton in return for Realmuto, who has developed into the best all-around hitting catcher in the big leagues. After the Mets just gave up two of their top-five prospects for Robinson Cano and Edwin Diaz, they might not have enough left to offer the Fish.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
