Mets, Rangers Agree To Max Scherzer Trade
1 year agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Max Scherzer will waive his no-trade clause to go to the Texas Rangers. The two sides are reportedly finalizing a deal that would send the All-Star pitcher to Arlington. It sounds like they've agreed on the exchange of players, but are still working on the financial side of the deal. The Rangers are looking to bulk up their starting rotation for a deep postseason run. The 39-year-old right-hander is signed through 2023 with a player option through 2024. Scherzer currently holds a 4.01 ERA and 1.19 WHIP and 120 strikeouts through 19 starts. His presence will certainly be a boost to the Rangers rotation. Fantasy managers should stay tuned to see what the Mets are getting in return for Scherzer.
