7 years agoThe Cleveland Indians signed free-agent outfielder Melky Cabrera to a minor league contract. Cabrera was decent last year, splitting time between the Chicago White Sox and Kansas City Royals while slashing .285/.324/.423 with 17 home runs and 85 RBI. He'll spend some time in the minor leagues to work his way back into playing shape, but he should be able to join the big league club some time in early May. He's likely to get some playing time in right field, which has been a Tyler Naquin/Brandon Guyer split so far this season.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
