Lance McCullers Jr. Solid Against Yankees
4 years agoHouston Astros starter Lance McCullers Jr. turned in another solid start against the New York Yankees in the Bronx on Thursday. Striking out eight batters across six innings, McCullers Jr. again showed his elite swing-and-miss stuff. He also showed why he can be so frustrating to roster in fantasy leagues, as both Clint Frazier and Giancarlo Stanton took him deep which accounted for all three of his earned runs. Now sporting a 3.58 ERA and 1.16 WHIP to along with a 10.46 K/9, McCullers Jr. should continue to provide mid-round value in nearly all types of fantasy leagues. With his next two starts slated to come on the road against the Tampa Bay Rays and the Texas Rangers, expect the right-handed hurler to continue providing this same type of value. Consistently consistent, McCullers Jr. is a strong hold in all leagues moving forward.
