7 years agoBoston Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy (ankle) has been ruled out for Boston’s Tuesday night matchup with the Detroit Red Wings. The Bruins rookie left Saturday’s game against Montreal in the first period with what appeared to be an ankle injury. Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy had no further update on McAvoy, who did not practice on Monday and remains day-to-day. McAvoy has been solid on Boston’s blue line this season, recording 32 points and maintaining a plus-26 plus/minus in 59 games played.
