Maximo Acosta Stellar In First Taste Of Triple-A
4 days agoMiami Marlins shortstop prospect Maximo Acosta has gone 6-for-17 at the plate with a stellar .353/.450/.588 slash line through his first four career games at Triple-A. Acosta has tallied one double and a round-tripper. He has tallied four runs and six RBI, which currently stand as the second-most at the level, only behind White Sox prospect Kyle Teel (nine). In addition, Acosta has made an impact on the basepaths, swiping two bags. The 22-year-old spent the entire 2024 campaign at the Double-A level. Across 104 contests with the Frisco RoughRiders, Acosta posted a .288/.353/.425 slash line with 23 doubles and 26 stolen bases. The Marlins acquired Acosta in a trade from Texas in the offseason. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his development at Triple-A, as he should be in contention for his MLB debut if he continues this current trajectory.
