Max Strus Missing First Game Of The Season Tuesday
Max Strus (knee) will sit out his first game of the season on Tuesday against Boston. The former Heat man is dealing with a right knee strain. Strus has started all 60 games in Cleveland, posting 12.2 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 3.8 assists. His fantasy production has been held back by poor shooting in 2023-24, as the three-point sniper is hitting only at a 34 percent clip from downtown. Donovan Mitchell (knee) also remains out on Tuesday, meaning the Cavaliers will be without two of their regular starters. Additionally, Caris LeVert (elbow) and Isaac Okoro (elbow), two players who could massively benefit in the situation, are considered questionable for the matchup.

Max Strus Out Versus Pistons On Friday
Max Strus (ankle) won't play on Friday versus the Detroit Pistons. Due to right ankle injury management, Strus will sit out the second half of back-to-back games. The 29-year-old posted 18 points, four rebounds and four assists across 29 minutes in a win over the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday. Ty Jerome (knee) will also be out of action for tonight's contest, so Sam Merrill and Isaac Okoro will likely see expanded roles.

Max Strus Active On Wednesday
Max Strus (ankle) will get back to work on Wednesday against the Toronto Raptors. He missed the previous game due to ankle soreness. Strus will return to his position in the starting lineup, bumping De'Andre Hunter to the bench. Nonetheless, Hunter has proven to be one of the most prolific bench scorers this season, so his fantasy value will not be affected much. Strus has notched 9.6 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists in 2024-25 as a starter.

Max Strus May Miss Another Game On Wednesday
Max Strus (ankle) has been listed as questionable for Wednesday's meeting with the Toronto Raptors. After making 23 consecutive appearances, Strus was forced to skip Monday's action against the Minnesota Timberwolves due to ankle soreness. He may now be sidelined for a second consecutive game. Newly acquired De'Andre Hunter took over from Strus in the first unit on Monday, scoring 12 points in 23 minutes during a blowout win. Sam Merrill, who had a 29-minute outing off the bench against Minnesota, also benefits from Strus' absence.

Max Strus Late Scratch For Monday Against Minnesota
Max Strus (ankle) will be unavailable for Monday's matchup with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Strus was added to the injury report due to soreness in his right ankle. If the 28-year-old's ankle injury keeps him out of action for an extended period, newcomer De'Andre Hunter could be inserted into the Cavs' starting lineup. Fantasy managers should keep an eye on Hunter, as he averaged 17.8 points and 3.8 rebounds across 31.4 minutes per game in his last 10 outings before being traded from Atlanta.
