Max Scherzer Tosses Four Scoreless Innings In Rehab Start
6 months agoTexas Rangers starter Max Scherzer (back) tossed four scoreless innings during Sunday's rehab start with Triple-A Round Rock. He surrendered one hit and one walk while striking out five batters across 53 pitches. Scherzer landed on the injured list to begin the year after undergoing offseason back surgery. He also stopped his first rehab assignment in May after dealing with a nerve issue in his right arm, but everything seems to be positive this time around. The veteran right-hander will need at least one more rehab outing before joining the Rangers rotation. Scherzer should be stashed in all fantasy formats as he figures to be an effective asset once he is back in the majors.
