Max Scherzer Must Monitor Back Injury

Washington Nationals starting pitcher Max Scherzer (back) played catch without issue on Friday but said he's "not out of the woods yet" with his injury. He will monitor his back moving forward. The Nats ace returned from the injured list on Thursday and was effective in his four innings. His velocity wasn't at its normal levels either, and it's very possible that Scherzer won't be completely 100 percent the rest of the way. Fantasy owners will take it, though, as Scherzer at less than 100 percent is still better than the majority of other pitchers out there. Hopefully he'll be able to go a little longer in his next outing.
