Max Scherzer Feels Good After Bullpen Session Saturday
3 years agoWashington Nationals starting pitcher Max Scherzer (groin) was feeling good after his bullpen session on Saturday and expects to start on Tuesday, according to Mark Zuckerman of MASN Sports. Zuckerman reports that as he walked by reporters on the field, Scherzer said, "40-pitch bullpen, all good. See you Tuesday." It sounds like it will be a minimal stay on the injured list much to the relief of fantasy managers, as Scherzer has continued to be one of the top pitchers this season, going 5-4 with a 2.21 ERA, 0.815 WHIP and 36 percent strikeout rate over 77 1/3 innings of work. Managers in weekly leagues should feel confident in starting Scherzer this week.
