Max Scherzer Fans 11 Diamondbacks In Victory
7 years agoWashington Nationals starter Max Scherzer earned his seventh win of the season against the Diamondbacks on Friday. The ace gave up one earned run on four hits, with eleven strikeouts and no walks over seven innings. He even went 2-for-3 at the plate, hitting his first double on the year and getting an RBI. The game lowered his ERA to 1.69 and he's striking out 13.96 batters per nine innings. He's getting stronger and more intense as the years go by, so owners who drafted Clayton Kershaw ahead of him aren't feeling so good right now. Scherzer will get a full week off and continue his reign of terror against the reeling Dodgers in Washington next Friday.
