Max Rajcic Tosses Five Innings Of One-Hit Ball In Season Debut
1 week agoSt. Louis Cardinals pitching prospect Max Rajcic tossed five shutout innings of one-hit ball in his season debut on April 6. Rajcic served up just one free pass in this outing and tallied four punchouts. On Monday, Rajcic was rewarded after this start as he was named Texas League Pitcher of the Week. The UCLA product spent the entire 2024 campaign at the Double-A level but struggled at times. Across 131 cumulative innings, he held a modest 4.33 ERA with a 1.35 WHIP. He held a 44:131 BB:K and allowed 18 round-trippers. His first start on April 6 was a significant step in the right direction and could suggest the 23-year-old has begun to turn the corner at Double-A. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his progression with the Springfield Cardinals, as he could push for a mid-season Triple-A debut.
