1 year agoWashington Capitals left winger Max Pacioretty (Achilles) is still not skating and will be out indefinitely to begin the season. Pacioretty tore his right Achilles for a second time last season while playing with the Carolina Hurricanes and settled for a one-year, $2 million deal with the Capitals this summer as a result. The veteran was productive in his brief return from his first Achilles tear, tallying three goals and 16 shots across five games after recording 43 goals and 88 points across just 87 games in his final two seasons with the Vegas Golden Knights. When healthy, Pacioretty is a notable fantasy asset who scores goals on a high shot volume and is a quality injury stash option worthy of a late-round pick in fantasy drafts this fall.--Brenton Kemp
