5 years agoVegas Golden Knights left wing Max Pacioretty scored the game-winning goal in Monday's matchup with Washington, netting his 27th marker of the year 14:06 into the second frame. Nick Holden and Reilly Smith got the scoring started for Vegas in a 3-2 win, Marc-Andre Fleury saved 25 shots for his 23rd victory of the season. Pacioretty had an awful time during his first year in Vegas, but he's managed to put together a big bounce-back season by averaging close to a point per game (56 points in 61 games). He's the team's leading goal-scorer and also the hottest guy in town, having already produced two three-point nights this month.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

3 weeks agoToronto Maple Leafs left wing Max Pacioretty (undisclosed) is on track to rejoin the lineup on Friday against the New York Rangers. After sitting out three games, Pacioretty returned to practice on Wednesday, with Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube noting that Pacioretty "looked good" and "will probably play" in Friday's contest. The veteran forward has been offensively anonymous in 2025, posting zero goals and one assist in 12 appearances. He has recorded five goals and 13 points in 37 games for the season, averaging 2.8 hits.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

3 weeks agoToronto Maple Leafs left wing Max Pacioretty (undisclosed) will remain sidelined on Tuesday evening when the Leafs face the Boston Bruins. Pacioretty has missed their previous two contests due to this injury and could face an extended absence. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status leading up to their next contest on Friday evening against the New York Rangers. As a result, Alex Steeves will remain in the starting lineup and play on the fourth line. Throughout his time in Toronto this season, Pacioretty has played primarily in the middle-six role but has occasionally seen time on the second line. Through 37 games, the 36-year-old has scored five goals and added eight helpers. When he does return, he will only carry value in deeper formats.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

2 months agoToronto Maple Leafs left wing Max Pacioretty (upper body) will be back in the lineup for Wednesday's home game against the Minnesota Wild. The veteran forward has missed three games due to an upper-body injury. Pacioretty is slated to join the third line, linking up with Fraser Minten and Nicholas Robertson. Ahead of Wednesday's action, Pacioretty hasn't picked up any points in eight appearances. He has managed 12 points (five goals, seven assists) in 32 games for the season. Although Pacioretty is struggling, he could still make an impact on Wednesday as part of Toronto's first power-play unit. The team will face the league's third-worst penalty kill.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

2 months agoAccording to David Alter of The Hockey News.com, Toronto Maple Leafs left wing Max Pacioretty (upper body) is expected to return to the starting lineup on Wednesday when the Leafs face the Minnesota Wild. Pacioretty was able to log a full practice on Tuesday and is "fully expected" to return to the starting lineup. Pacioretty was placed on the injured reserve earlier in January after getting hit in the head with a puck. The veteran forward missed only three games of action while sidelined. Fantasy managers should expect the 36-year-old to return to his role on the left side of the Toronto third line. Across his first 32 games as a Maple Leaf, Pacioretty has scored five goals and added seven helpers with 89 hits and 57 shots on goal. Given his role in the bottom six, Pacioretty is best left for deeper formats. --Andy Smith - RotoBaller
