Max Muncy Walks A Season-High Five Times On Sunday
4 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers infielder Max Muncy put on a walking show while facing the Padres on Sunday, thanks to his five bases on balls on six trips to the plate. While Muncy didn't record a hit in his lone logged at-bat, his five walks (one of them intentional) marked a season-high for him after he already walked four times against Oakland back on April 7. He was able to come around and score two runs in the 8-7 extra-inning loss after reaching five times. Muncy is sporting a .258 batting average in 66 at-bats this season, and he's currently at a sublime .904 OPS with an even better 153 wRC+ on 89 plate appearances.
