Max Meyer Whiffs Nine Batters At Double-A
3 years agoMiami Marlins pitching prospect Max Meyer had the best game of his young career on Tuesday. The third-overall selection in the 2020 draft struck out nine batters over 5 2/3 shutout innings of work. Meyer has opened his pro career with a 3.07 ERA and a K-BB of 16-4 over three starts (14 2/3 innings). If he continues to look as advanced as he does, the hard-throwing right-hander could soon overtake the injured Sixto Sanchez as the Marlins' best pitching prospect. Meyer is an excellent option in dynasty baseball formats given his high ceiling, polish, and close proximity to the majors.
