Max Kepler Leaves With Injury Thursday
2 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Max Kepler (leg) left the game early on Thursday against the San Diego Padres with trainer Masa Abe after beating out a groundball to tie the game in the seventh inning. Michael A. Taylor replaced Kepler in the game. Kepler appeared to have injured his leg, but we'll pass along more updates on his condition once we know more after the contest. The 30-year-old left-handed slugger already spent time on the injured list with patellar tendinitis in his right knee last month, so hopefully it's not related to that. Before getting injured, Kepler was 0-for-4 with an RBI. He came into Thursday's matinee game sporting a weak .223 average (21-for-94) with five doubles, six home runs and 13 RBI in his first 26 games in 2023.
