Max Kepler Hits Difference-Making Home Run In Win Over Red Sox
6 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Max Kepler ended up being a deciding factor in a win against the Boston Red Sox on Wednesday. Having a shoddy offensive season thus far, Kepler turned on a changeup by David Price in the fourth inning and sent it flying. It was his first home run since May 25 and just his eighth home run of the season. Five of those homers have come off left-handed pitching, though — something to keep in mind for fantasy players. The outfielder also made a nifty defensive play in the eighth inning, robbing J.D. Martinez of a double. With all that said, Kepler should be left on the waiver wire when the Twins face off against Rick Porcello in the final game of their series with the Red Sox on Thursday.
