Max Kepler Belts Fifth Homer Sunday
4 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Max Kepler went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in Sunday's victory over the Cleveland Indians. Kepler got the Twins on the board in the fourth inning, homering on a Zach Plesac 2-0 changeup. The blast traveled 388 feet at an exit velocity of 103.7 MPH and was his fifth extra-base hit in the last four contests. Kepler was pulled from the game in the seventh inning, with manager Rocco Baldelli saying that the veteran outfielder was barely able to play and had trouble sprinting- as he continues to deal with a hamstring injury. Expect the Twins to give Kepler the day off Monday, especially with Baltimore Orioles' left-hander John Means slated to be on the mound.
