Max Homa Finding His Footing Right On Time
1 year ago2023 has been a year of ups and downs for Max Homa, as a scorching early-season run through March turned a bit sour through the late spring/early summer. A run of four missed cuts in eight starts from April to June has been answered by a recent run of T21, T12, T10, and T6 finishes since the start of July. The return of Homa's patented ball-striking has been the catalyst behind this resurgence, as he has gained strokes on approach in six of his last seven starts and recorded the two best driving weeks of his entire season at Southwind and Hoylake. The arrow is certainly trending upwards for the Berkley product, and with wins at Torrey Pines, Quail Hollow, and Riviera already on his resume, it's clear that Homa has no problem winning on the biggest stages the PGA Tour has to offer. He's a very compelling upside play this week.
