Max Greyserman Seeking Redemption In Memphis
3 months agoFor the majority of the Wyndham Championship, Max Greyserman was dominant and seemed poised to capture his first PGA Tour victory. The 29-year-old Tour rookie took a four-shot lead over eventual winner Aaron Rai after a hole-out eagle iron shot from 91 yards on the 13th hole, but a meltdown for the ages immediately ensued, starting with a quadruple bogey on the 14th hole. The optics may not look good on Monday morning, but that event marked back-to-back runner-up finishes for Greyserman, to go along with six consecutive made cuts with no finish worse than T31, dating back to the U.S. Open in mid-June. He looks poised for another high-end finish at TPC Southwind, as he ranks 14th in par-four scoring, sixth in par-five scoring, eighth in bogey avoidance, and third in Bermuda putting over the last 24 rounds. All arrows seem to be pointing up for Greyserman, and fantasy managers should strongly consider rostering him with his mere $6,900 DraftKings price tag at the FedEx St. Jude Championship this week.
