Max Fried Jogging Before Thursday's Game
2 years agoBefore Thursday's game against the San Diego Padres, Atlanta Braves left-hander Max Fried (hamstring) was jogging on the field, according to Mark Bowman of MLB.com. It's a good sight, as the ace hurt his hamstring on Opening Day on a play covering first base and was bothered on his way back to the mound, eventually leaving his start early. The Braves placed Fried on the 15-day injured list on Tuesday, but the team expects him to return in mid-April if everything goes well. Fantasy managers want him back as soon as possible after the 29-year-old pitched to a 14-7 record and 2.48 ERA with a 23.2% strikeout rate, 1.01 WHIP, and microscopic 4.4% walk rate in 2022.
