Max Fried Has Groin Strain
6 years agoUpdating a previous report, Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Max Fried (groin) left his start early on Tuesday in the first game of a doubleheader with a left groin strain after pitching just two scoreless innings. He was hit in the midsection by a comebacker and walked toward the dugout under his own power after recording the out. The left-hander was making his first start since July 28 against the Dodgers. He's been decent with a 3.14 ERA and 11.30 K/9 in 28 2/3 innings, but he won't be an option in mixed leagues unless he's a permanent part of the rotation.
