Matvei Michkov Sits Out Second Consecutive Game
2 weeks agoPhiladelphia Flyers right wing Matvei Michkov will be a healthy scratch for a second consecutive game on Saturday against Florida. The Russian forward featured in all 13 Flyers games this season before he was removed from the lineup on Thursday versus Tampa Bay. Michkov was named the Rookie of the Month for October and has notched 10 points (four goals, six assists) in his first 13 career games. However, he's done most of his scoring on the power play and is carrying a minus-eight rating, which is probably one of the reasons why Flyers head coach John Tortorella has sat Michkov. Anthony Richard entered the lineup as his replacement on Thursday.
