Matthew Stafford Wants To Stay With Rams Long Term
3 years agoLos Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford said he hopes to keep improving the Rams offense for the next five to 10 years. The Rams acquired Stafford knowing that he is on a two-year deal, but Stafford seems to want to remain in LA long-term. With all the offensive weapons he has to work with -- Cooper Kupp, Robert Woods, Darrell Henderson, Tyler Higbee and Cam Akers -- returning next season, Stafford wants to work with these teammates for years to come. He has yet to see the field for preseason games, and he has not looked sharp during training camp scrimmages, throwing three interceptions in the recent scrimmage against the Raiders. Stafford will be ready to face off against a friendly foe in Week 1 in the Chicago Bears. Stafford is being drafted as a low-end QB1 in single-season leagues, but those in DFS contests may want to take a wait-and-see approach before running with him in his first game with the Rams.
