Matthew Stafford Has Tough Matchup In Week 4
2 years agoLos Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford has a tough matchup Week 4 against a San Francisco 49ers defense that has allowed the second-fewest points to opposing QBs. Stafford is the QB23 on the season, just 1.7 points ahead of Steelers QB Mitch Trubisky. He has thrown five interceptions and has yet to throw for 300 yards in a game. That doesn't seem likely to change against the 49ers, who have held each of their opponents to under 200 passing yards. The 49ers boast the third-best scoring defense. They have held their opponents to a single touchdown in each of their three games. The expected total in this game is 42.5, one of the lowest of Week 4, and San Francisco has held its opponents under their implied scoring total in each of its games. While the Rams are probably the most potent offense the Niners have yet to face, you still should not expect a big game—or a top 12 finish—for Stafford.
