3 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Matthew Boyd (elbow) is "penciled in" to start Sunday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays, according to Tigers manager A.J. Hinch. Boyd has been sidelined since mid-June due to elbow discomfort. He'll be welcomed back against one of the league's top offenses in the Blue Jays, making him a risky start for any fantasy format. Boyd got off to a strong start to the 2021 season. He posted a 2.27 ERA over six starts in April, but then went on to struggle to the tune of a 5.32 ERA in May. He's worth monitoring for fantasy purposes, but isn't a must-add player in any format at this point.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
