Matt Wallner Sees Regular Role For Twins
1 year agoMinnesota Twins rookie outfielder Matt Wallner has landed an everyday role for the American League Central leaders since his July 16 promotion. Wallner has started Minnesota's last 10 games and has homered three times while showcasing a .914 OPS during the stretch. Although this is an extremely small sample size, the production is worth watching. The 25-year-old has shown power and on-base skills over his minor league career. However, he will likely need to reduce the 30% strikeout rate to sustain his success throughout the season. Fantasy managers ideally will want to see the outfielder continue his production before investing. Wallner will look to build on his recent performances in Friday's contest against the Royals.
