Matt Vierling Crushes First Career Grand Slam Thursday
1 year agoDetroit Tigers infielder Matt Vierling swatted a grad slam Thursday as the Tigers defeated the Reds 6-2. He also swiped a bag in the contest. The stolen base was his first in over two months. For the 26-year-old, it was his first career grand slam. Vierling is having an excellent September so far, as he has posted a .375 batting average with two home runs, three doubles, seven RBI, and 11 runs scored in the first nine contests this month.
