Matt Vierling Collects Three Hits In Tigers Win
1 year agoOn Sunday in the final game of the regular season, Detroit Tigers third baseman Matt Vierling went 3-for-4, which included hitting a home run and driving in two runs. Detroit knocked off the Guardians 5-2. In the third inning, Vierling smacked a two-out double off Lucas Giolito. Then, in the fifth inning, Vierling extended the Tigers' lead to 5-2 with a two-run blast off of Giolito. Vierling concludes his debut season with the Tigers by batting .261/.329/.388. Throughout the season, he hit 10 home runs, drove in 44 runs, and stole six bases.
