Matt Strahm's Gem Goes To Waste
6 years agoSan Diego Padres starter Matt Strahm was excellent in eight frames of one-run ball Friday against the Cincinnati Reds. The Padres eventually lost in extra innings but the southpaw was brilliant, surrendering just two hits and zero walks. He struck out five. After a rough opening start, Strahm has allowed only three earned runs in 18 innings and stares at a respectable 3.05 ERA and 1.16 WHIP. Despite the paltry 5.7 K/9, Strahm is worth fantasy consideration for his next start against the Washington Nationals.
